How to use the worksheets 연습지 쓰는 법

  1. Follow the colors. In the big letter on the left, every stroke has its own color. The circle with the same color gives its number, and the arrow inside the stroke shows which way to move your pen.
  2. Trace, then write. Trace the three gray letters, then write the letter four times on your own. The dashed lines help you keep the letter in the middle of the box.
  3. Say it as you write. Each letter has an example word with its romanization. Say the word while you write it — sound and shape stick better together.
  4. Batchim: one block, one sound. The batchim sheet starts with a chart of the 7 final sounds. Korean has many final letters but only seven final sounds, because a final consonant is not released. Then you write two-syllable words like 수박 and 감자, one sound at a time.

Teachers: the sheets are free to print for your class. They work as homework after the first lesson on Hangul, or as a warm-up before reading practice.
